* Crush aspirin tablets into a fine powder- (a small coffee grinder works really well if you are making a large batch)
* Mix in your favorite fruit acid, freshly squeezing the juice from a lemon, lime, or orange
* To use as an aspirin scrub make a thickish paste using only a few teaspoons of the fruit juice
* For a refreshing aspirin toner use a least 1/3 cup of fruit juice to make a thin solution that can easily saturate a cotton ball.
Aspirin is an all around versatile natural skin care ingredient that has the added benefit of being an excellent anti-aging skin care treatment.
Why?
Salicylic acid which is a BHA, beta hydroxy acid has the ability to penetrate deeply to unclog pores and effectively exfoliate dead skin cells which reduces the incidences of acne outbreaks and stimulates cell renewal.
Aging skin benefits significantly from an increase in skin cell turnover.
All in all, aspirin recipes for natural facial treatments are particularly effective in maintaining healthy, smooth, and vibrant looking skin.
This is truly one of the best recipes for facial rejuvenation
~ The Monster Mash ~
Avocado Facial Recipe
* 1/2 avocado thoroughly mashed
into a paste
* Add 1 tablespoon sea salt or kosher salt
* A generous squeeze or dollop of honey
* Mix in the juice of one fresh lemon (You'll need enough juice to thin out the avocado mash into the consistency of a thick sour cream so that it will spread nicely onto the skin)
* Apply for 10 to 15 minutes then
* Rinse off with warm water
* Keep unused portion in refrigerator for 2 to 3 days
Add a drizzle of olive oil or nut oil to create a super moisturizing mask.
~ Batter-Up ~
* Whip one egg white into very stiff peaks
* Mix in one tablespoon of cornstarch
* Add the juice of a lime
* Whip ingredients thoroughly to form a smooth, frothy mixture.
* Apply to facial skin avoiding the immediate area around the eyes

* Rinse off with warm water
* Keep unused portion in refrigerator for 2 to 3 days
The lime cleanses and exfoliates, the egg white nourishes and firms, while the cornstarch softens and draws out the skin's impurities.
Adding a packet of unflavored gelatin to the recipe will create even more of a skin tightening effect. (It's a trick that the high end spas use to harden natural facial peels and masks!)

In case you are wondering, Biki explains that there is a reason oatmeal and honey are added to this mix.
Similar to its use in body scrub recipes, oatmeal is recommended for sensitive skin, but can be used in preparation of facial masks for any skin type, as well as for preparation of facial exfoliants as it is gentle on the skin, yet highly powerful.
